Bibliography; The Tricky Wolf and Rats from More Jataka Tales by Ellen C. Babbitt
There once was a cunning wolf, one day he got hungry and saw that there was a village of rats in the forest and he wanted to eat them. The tricky wolf thought of a plan in where he would be able to eat the rats and not get caught by the rats and their chief. One day he stood on his hind legs when he saw they were coming when asked why he was standing in such a way the wolf responded it was because his legs hurt, then the rats Cheif also asked him why was he holding his mouth open. The wolf responded that it needed to take in all the air he could since it was the only thing he could live on. The chief felt bad for the wold so he would visit him every day together with the other rats. However, this was the plan of the wolf in order to lure them in and in the end, he would eat the last rat. The chief saw that each day by bedtime there was less and fewer rats, this worried him and so in order to find the reason he decided to go last that day and just like he had done before the wolf tried to swallow the chief but the chief was faster, as was disgusted by the wolfs tricks. "So this is the food you eat. Your legs are not so lame as they were. You have played your last trick, Wolf," said the Chief of the Rats, springing at Wolf's throat. He bit the Wolf and the tricky wolf died and the rats lived happily ever after |
City view of Guanajuato, Mexico Taken by me Hello everyone!! My name is Monica Avila, I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and moved to the U.S. when I was five, I can speak Spanish, English and a little bit of Portuguese (currently learning). I am a senior here at OU (Wow can't believe I'm saying senior time flies by so fast). I am a Health and Exercise Science major. I'll be graduating this spring, my plans so far are to take a year off and work and travel a little maybe go for masters in health promotion but I'm still not sure yet. In the future, I hope to go to grad school for physical therapy and work with either the elderly or children. I love science and learning about the human body. The way the human body works and manages to keep us alive is so amazing, learning all the mechanics of it is one of my favorite parts of my major. Therefore, some of my favorite classes have been Human Anatomy and Exercise Physiology. Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, B
